Hi everyone at music class we had our second lesson. and t was fun because we had to make our own beat. So our music teacher gave us a project. And the project was to make your own beat before friday next week. And this is going to be fun. By the way I have written down the answers from last weeks lesson. So I am feeling good about digital lesson.

1. What is digital music? Stored coded sound (mp3, wav, avi)
2. What is analog music? Stored physical sound
3. What are the key components of a simple recording studio? Computers, Speakers, Headphones, DAW, Interface, Microphone
4. What does DAW stand for? Digital audio workstation
5. Name a DAW? Garageband, Reaper, Loop labs, Sound Trap, Pro tools, Logic, ableton
6. Who invented the first recording device? Thomas Edison
7. Name one of the 2 early recording devices? Phonograph and a gramophone
8. What decade was digital recording invented? 1970’s
9. Why do you think digital recording is better than analog? Because digital is faster and it sounds better. And it is better because you can make remixes.
