Narrative Writing

WALT: USe grammar, punctuation and spelling in our narrative writing.
Hi everyone this is a story of me being in a jungle learning how to survive and how do I look like when I am saved.

If I Was In The Jungle
One day there was a boy called Matthew. He liked to go on adventures he was happy that he  was going to the jungle. So he got dropped of and he ran somewhere else so he got lost. Here is the story about me staying in the jungle surviving and being scared and happy.
Day 1:
I went to the jungle to explore and had a camp there. Until this day that I didn’t know where I was so I got lost. I left a trail of yummy treats on the floor but they all disappear so I got scared and I was by myself. So I started to be brave and go inside my tent. Then I heard something outside the bush. So I creeped up to the bush until I found a person. And it was my friend I was so happy that I had my friend by my side so I was glad. And I asked him how are you and he replied back to me good thankyou. So I was like how come you are here and he said because I wanted to see you. So I got happy and we started to celebrate.

Day 2:
So the next morning me and my friend woke up and started to pack up all our stuff. So we can try and find our way out of this jungle because we were scared and lost. So we walked until night time until we noticed that we got lost again. And then I had a emergency phone so I called for help until there was no service. So I walked around to find service then I found it so I called a helicopter and they said that it will take twenty four hours. So I got angry and chucked my phone hard onto the ground and it started to break. So I got sad because the was the only phone that I had. But I just noticed that I won’t be able to call.

Day 3:
So the twenty four hours is over so we woke up waited where we are. Then we saw some monkeys coming towards us so we started to grab whatever we had and start whacking them. But the monkey’s got angry so we started to chuck things at them and they all got knocked out. So we waited and waited and waited and waited until we saw the helicopter. We were saved all because of me. I asked how did you find us they said by the tracker. So I said thankyou and i got home started to have a good sleep and tea. And I started to make a new journey to a different place. So that was how I would live one day.

This story was about me writing down how would I survive and how would I look like when I am rescued.

Narrative Writing

WALT: Use grammar, punctuation and spelling in our narrative writing.
Hi everyone this is what I have done for my narrative writing. This story is about me in Tonga having a nice bike ride until a gang took it. that is all I can say but read the story down below and leave a comment if you like it.

If I Was Riding My Bike
My name is Matthew and I come from the island of ha’apai and fatai in tonga. In tonga I was riding my bike and it was awesome until at 1:oo. These boys came up to me and stole my bike. So I started to get angry but they were far away. So I started to chase after them and i fell down and started to get a sore. I wanted to chase after them until I had to go home. So my mum asked where is my bike and I said “These boys took it” so I got a smack. So the next day I went down the road and looked for the house.

When I went Down the road to find the house I was so scared because there were too many people that looked like they were in the gang. So I went back home and my dad bought another bike for me so I went to my friends house. When I left the house I saw the boys again so I started to ride my bike as fast as I can. So I made it back home safely and the next morning I started to go for a ride to the capital city nuku’alofa.I went inside my nana’s house and started to play this game called dalamu and I won three times and lost three times.

While I was at my nana’s house my aunty and uncle came and we started to have big feed. It was very delicious and I almost finished my food but I had to go home. So when I got home I told my mum and dad that I ate at my nana’s house. That asked me what did I have so I said “Chicken, lamb and kumara’. So I started  to go back to sleep. So early in the morning my mum woke me up and told me to go with her to the airport but there was no more space to fit in so I asked if i can ride my bike so they said yes.

As they said yes I started to run to the back yard and grab my bike so I started to ride my bike as fast as I can because they were way in front of me. So I took the shortcut to the airport because my aunty was going back to Australia. So when i took the shortcut I was already at the airport waiting for my mum and dad. But then I just noticed that they were here five minutes ago. So I started to run fast as I can inside to see where they were until I found them at zone. So we went up the escalator to the door the goes to the aeroplane and it was time to go and I started to cry.

When I cried I started to go back home riding my bike. But I wanted to take the shortcut but I wanted to see how the long way feels. So I went the long way until I saw this gang that wanted my bike so I said no but they kept on asking me so I started to ride fast as I can but they were way too fast so they took my bike. Until I just noticed by the mark on their hand and it was the same people that stole my bike. So I knew where their house was so I got my family to help me get both of my bike back. So we did go and we sneaked in the back yard and the bike’s were right there.

As I we were at the back yard we saw someone coming towards us so we started to hide. As the person went past I ran fast as I can with my cousin to take the bike so we were very close until they were locked up. So I found the key on the floor and me and my cousin started to take them and we made out with out getting caught. And I was happy that I got my bike back. So I gave one of my bikes to my cousin and they were happy because he always wanted to have a bike. So I enjoyed riding my bike with him even tho we went somewhere far so we were happy.

So at the end I went back to New Zealand. This story was about my bike riding. At any country or island so I did my story on a island called Tonga.

Tongan Language Week

Hi today we had tongan language week. And I saw nearly half of my school wearing this thing around their legs called a tupenu. It is one of the traditional clothes in tonga. You can wear it to church, weddings and funerals. So about the tongan language week we had an assembly outside the office. And we had the tongan group perform to us and they were dancing to this music called seuke by ratland entertainment. It is my favourite song in tongan because it is a raggae. Then after the assembly we went to calls then had break. After break we to go swimming and some of the room ten people had to come because only a little bit of them came. Then we came back to school and had lunch then we came back inside. And I wanted to do a reflection about the tongan week because this day was my favourite day because we were celebrating my culture which is tonga.

Swimming Reflection

WALT:Swim so we can have safety so when something wrong is going to happen.

Hi everyone I went to swimming again and for the last few days I have been trying to know my instructor's name but now I know what his name is. And his name is Luan and he pushes us when we have to swim for one length. Like if you stop he will start telling you to keep on going even if you tired. That is what he did to me for the last few days. But at least he is telling me to never give up and because if someone is in danger I can save them. So me swimming one or two lengths is to swim very far if they are endangered far. And he told me to kick faster and harder to swim fast so I don't get tired.

Thankyou for listening to my reflection!

Reflection About Swimming Lesson

Today I have been going to a swimming lesson at panmure pools. And we had to be in a girls and boys group until our instructor gave us a number. I was Number 1 so we swam and swam until we have to get mixed with the girls. I was stayed put with the same instructor and we did free style. We had to do until we did three lengths and 1 and a half length. So I did 1 length and then I did 1 and a half lengths. So we were having a competition and I had to go slow because I was tired. But the instructor was ticking of what we can do and what can we not do.  So me going swimming lesson was all about me learning about how to swimming when someone is drowning and when I see them I will swim and save their life.
